Has anyone got this today yet? Mine's due to arrive, in fact it should be at home waiting for me, wondering if anyone's got theirs and what they think of it?

Hoping it's a vast improvement over 5, which is probably the worst one to date with the players falling over when the wind changes direction

my mates had Winning 11 10 (i think its called anyway) for the PS2 for months, but didn't bother playing it as it's PS2 and he wanted to wait for the 360 version... I cant wait for this one though, 5 was a big let down IMO, they went too far with the realism and the refs to the point it was stop and start and just annoying... then there's the keepers that feel it necessary to stand well off their line so you can t**t it in from 30+ yards and as long as its reasonably into the corner its in.
I've heard this one is more like 4 in that the players will stay on their feet more and don't fall over if one blade of grass sticks up more than the others. I'll prolly hate it at first until I get used to it I reckon lol

Yeah i love PES 5.

Anyone remember This is football? Was done by Sony themselves. Wasn't the best game in the world but at least you could kick the s**t out of keepers, i really miss that!

I would like more spontanious events, handballs, opposition should get more yellow cards, every richochet shouldn't end up as a corner lol

pro evo has arrived, just been playin it round my mates house, and its wkd! It hasnt lost what pro evo 5 had, and its more lifelike! Plus its really up to date with transfers which is a bonus.

I've got the PS2 version. Aint played it yet, but heard good things. I've got every Pro Evo ever, so this one will be mega. Going to download the updated option file now from pesfan.com

well, it arrived yesterday and went over to my mates for a few games, well impressed! The players move like PES4 and don't just Heskey it when they get the ball, not into the lack of edit features though, that's fookin' gash, hope they patch it

Not tried it online, but expect its going to be laggy as s**t!

PES7 on the 360 will rule as they have confirmed it will include the editing feature. Why they didnt include it on 6 i dont know - especially as its on the PS2!

I should be getting this today. I hear what you are saying The Jesus; how many interruptions was there, when playing on level 6? You went near the opposition, and it was a free kick, so bloody annoying! I still rate it far superior to Fifa; I'm looking forward to playing it when i get home tonight.

^^ i got an xbox so no real choice!!! lack of option file on 360 (just read you cant edit kits or team names) wont make me rush to buy one.. will await the next version on 360 were they do it properly!

also:

The ps2 version has over 30 stadiums in pes6 and the 360 version has 8.

On the ps2 version it is the full edit mode but on the 360 there is only the 'edit player' option and thats it.

Xbox 360 version, no save replay

slap in the face for 360 owners - the more powerful console with less features!

Heres my ickle review for y'all. PS2 Version

There are no longer silly fouls and when you think you have got away with a bad tackle you ain't because the newt time it goes out of play you will get booked. Even if this is ages!

The gameplay is slower and this means more and better build up play is required.

Shooting needs a bit more skill this time round and a press of R2 while your hitting it is sometimes compulasary for a good shot.

Good players seem to shine more than usual although you are closed down while on the ball very quickly in this version.

PS2 version has all the editing capabilities and there is the usual array of trophies/cups and leagues to be won.

Master league is basically the same.

New match mode statistics mean you get scorers and assisters when you pause a match.

Commentators are still pish. I recommend the spanish!

New region style match where you can pick a region and it gives you a selction of players from that area. You could also pick 4 teams and it would give you a dream team from there.

There is also an International Qualification Tournament where you have to qualify and then win the World Cup. You can call up players and get rid as you please.

As far as I'm concerned this version is the biggest con yet... it does not improve upon PES5 enough.... we all know they could do better... but they don't as they know everyone will buy it year after year with just a few tweaks.

^^ I thought on PES5 that if you dont let the ball go out, for say 30 secs after the initial foul, the ref will forget about it? Sounds slightly different on PES6.

I'll still be getting this game. Only usually play is against my Bro's...

JJ, Pro Evo 5's refs memory was far shorter lol, I could have had a cup of tea, a biscuit and read the paper before he booked me this time!

I agree that the 360 owners have been shafted big style this time. But for the rest it ain't too bad. The game play is slightly different due to the speed and why change a winning formula too much?

Jonaldinho, is the computers AI better, for instance when the computer is running at you and your defence splits like the red sea, giving him a clear opening to run in to, or score? Also when you do a through ball to a winger, and they jump over the ball - It's like they are not aware that they are stoody on the fooking throw-in line.....WTF?

A.I seems to be a bit better with a slightly more direct route to goal imo. They sometimes want to score the perfect goal if you know what I mean. The old through ball works a bit better this time as well. They seem to know where they are most of the time although I don't just know if it happened to me as I was too busy watching the damn opposition close me down. Its still a pain to get someone running though lol

just been playing it for last couple of hours. unresponsive controls, major stuttering on set plays on live which is really annoying.

but overall its pretty good - not quite what it should have been but still the best footy game on the 360

Also why does it run cack when its not exactly send a great deal of information :S

Just had a quick game on it. Thought it was a big improvement on 5, far more enjoyable anyway without the stupid foulds every five seconds. Managed to bag a couple of quality goals with Crouch as well! Still not as good as 3 but then what is?!
