Problem finally found with my 200

So after three long hurtful weeks my 200 finally has been diagnosed, I was suffering with the famous cold/stiff gearbox issue I wouldn't go in gear and sometimes wouldn't stay in gear, Renault garage kept saying its stiff but it will go in backwards and forwards I kept going (baring in mind the garage is 4 hours away) finally today a tech specialist came to have a look and it's diagnosed as needing a new clutch!!!!! Thankfully it's under warranty and I'll have my car back this weekend! Anyone else had this problem?!

Ps the the car is on it's 2nd gearbox also... So 2nd box and now 2nd clutch!

My old 200 was on its 4th gearbox! All went within 10000 miles of each other.

Most of the issues from the Clio197/200 forum was the 3rd/4th syncro destroying itself.

It's a bit of a gamble with these, dutters above has had 4 boxes, and mine has been perfect over the 19k i've done.

Such a shame - lovely looking cars, but i'd never buy one for this exact reason.

Renault gearbox's are s**t and always have been, god help the people with the new 200T now they have introduced electronics to it.

(Although i have heard the new 200T has a getrag box)
