Does it do it without the lance on? Sounds like its not getting enough water, maybe your tap doesnt have enough pressure?
(Sounds like mine when I forget toput the hose on)

That's what my Karcher did before it packed up once and for all with a shagged pump.

It only does it with the snow lance, if I put the other jet lance on , It holds at a steady 100psi and about launches you backwards pulling the trigger lol.

Tap suplies more than enough as when the engineer came out to service the pressure washer, he tested it.
only thing I can think is it has a stupid little water tank with a plunger weight in to stop the water when it's full ( like a toilet tank ) that's restricting it .

wont bother trying to fix it, gone and purchased a nilfisk.

the big HDS will still get used for more oil'y jobs
