  Whichever has fuel
The Silencer has given up in the exhaust, and the stalling is down to a dirty/faulty air flow meter. (black box with electrical wires going into it in between the airbox and the air inlet)

Throttle body idle sensor needs cleaning its a common issue.

Do a search on the vectra ie mig web etc forum there a guide on one of them happens loads to them.

The grey hair is the exhaust silencing just leave it till it gets bad you'll need a new one.

cheers fellas, how can i clean the air flow meter? take the air box off????

i noticed the electrical plug was a little loose when i looked.

how do i get to the idle sensor edde?

also how come you kno so much edde? are you a machanic and who for, i have a vision of you being a 65year old fella wit his own scrap yard???

Idler valve is on the side of the throttle body. Un plug the motor connection, then 2 allen screws and lift it out. Clean the valve with carb cleaner and reassemble also clean the pipe as thet get gunked up also recomended to clean the throttle body as well. There modified part out but for the price and the reprogrmming vs the once per year cost to fix this its not worth doing the modification. the new parts £110.

And nope I'm not 65.
