Progress of my Clio II

  Mk2 Ph2 Clio II 1.6 16v
As the title says...progress since I got it on Nov. 28 last year until last weekend when it got a complete detail...

The day I got it from the dealer with only a few miles on it:

and the put a couple stickers on it

But then April arrives and it's my birthday so I decided to buy a few things for it:

no no no wait wait...:rasp: that's just playing with a spare intercooler, I won't do that yet..

I just put the HID lights and the Renault "soft sport kit" or whatever silly frenchies call it:

then the car turned 10k kilometres so it got serviced at Renault and got tired of that silly pansy window tint and got it removed aswell

as a gift I got it the RenaultSport front grille, RenaultSport badge, carpets and Clio door thingies...

What's next?

Wheels...it desperatly needs new, bigger wheels...and the 57i K&N kit, and Clio Sport headlamps, Clio Sport front bumper...should I go on?

Yes, lower suspension and Clio Sport engine, tranny and brakes :clown:

I still want the Superturismo wheels from the V6

arent those 18" :rasp:? guess you want smaller ones, tbh, my mate has 17" superturismo's on his clio and they dont look very nice, wheels look a bit big compared to the car... i;d say try for 16" :boring:

yup, 16s is the way to go...specially if you drive in "less than perfect" roads

yea i agree with you on your mates white clio's alloys, supperleggera's? (sorry if i get it wrong, not a pro ;)) think those are the ones i want aswell! but you really need to get your car away from looking like mine! (lower it)

not France vinvin, Venezuela...quite a few miles apart...lol

Here we don't have a clear law on that so people go nuts with tint, some even tint the winshield...I'll go with 2% all around but the winshield, I won't tint that, too risky at night even if you have good vision and HID lights...

whats with the mk2 ph1 door bump strips on mk2 ph2s?? bit odd looking!

Renault Venezuela and Renault Colombia are...hmmm...5-6 years behind some stuff, we do get the newer dash and console but still get the older interior door trimming :S

thats mad! could you answer Renshaw's Q? ;) i want to know too!

It is a really stupid situation and I don't know what the hell are they thinking when they build the cars like that, using "old" parts on a 2008 car...they are not even remotely close to phasing out this Clio like the rest of the world did so they keep selling us these weird things...but why did they bring the newer dashboard and kept the old style door trims inside and out goes beyond my understanding...

Same goes for some models, we still get the old Scenic and we have both Meganes, the older one and the Megane II (oddly enough we do get the newest of them all)...and the jurasic but still a great ride: The Twingo.

Have none of you's heard of Lowering springs!

yes but our roads are like I said....less than perfect....so lowering springs are a joy on curvy roads but a real nightmare the rest of the time...

hell, I have scraped the front splitter twice in less than a month!

  Porsche Boxster987S
any better pics of just the back of the car so we can see the rear splitter properly?:)

lol
One of these days I'll take a few pics and show you...you'll understand why I am so not bothered with lowering the suspension...;)

i wonder what the hard kit is like :clown:

LOL
I will not even ask them to show me the "hard" one...they might rape me...

Well, they already raped me with their silly service prices :dead:
US$300 for an oil change, air filter and to tell me that my car is doing fine :dead:

i think it would look 100xs better smoothed in and the right colour match. like the idea though:)

Just noticing the picures, I'm guessing they don't sell the 3-door version over there? Some tidy cars anyway buddy, sounds like you're chuffed with it and that's all that matters.

thats quite a lot more than over here in the u.k! anyway.. keep us up-to-date with your car! looks great.

the color matches perfectly, maybe the lightning on the pics might give the wrong impression...but...you are right on the rear splitter, it might look better if it were smoothed in...I'll play with Photoshop to see what happens...

Nope, we only get the 5 door...
I want this car to just look pretty, I also have a Renault 21 TXi to play with

  Porsche Boxster987S
yea might just be the pics. but id definitly get a little smoothing done with front and rear;)
