Project Tungsten continues!

  Tungy
About time and all haha. Amir came round this morning and we took the engine out of the beast on the right and took the gearbox and clutch off, then disconnected all of the engine on mine so it's ready to lift out. All in all a good half days work.

As you can see. Nice square lifting of the engine ;)

Get off your lazy ass :rasp: Me and Amir have taken out/put in enough 16v engines now. We can have it done in about 2-3 hours weather and light depending lol. We should start up our own business doing everyone's facking gearboxes, clutches and timing belts lol.

  Looking for a ph-quick...
Yes its a sad story Immi. She looked nice but under the skin she was suffereing, inner front arches, rear arches and it will never acutally be a valver :( . So starting a fresh, paid peanuts for this shell and its solid, interior is near mint, standard and unmolested, a book FULL of history. Immediate plans are :
- Tungston grey respray
- Find some turninis to refurb in anthracite
- Got a spare engine to 'play' with at my leasure

Keep your eyes on the thread for the completion this weekend!

Thanks for looking
Amir

I'll let you know how i get on with this box Wiston, might have to fabircate some sort of debris guard as the fly wheel is exposed a little.

  Looking for a ph-quick...
So it was the morning of saturday the 3rd of February, judgement day for the tungston! :S
Anyway, wanted to get her finished today, and that is exactly what we did! Was at Brads at 9am and it was fecking freezing! Cracked straight on the beast no major issues only the pain in the arse pin that goes throught the drive shaft!

Engine in all connected up....

All the little bits connected, running well.....

Took her for a spin and one of the coolant hoses blew off leaving a cloud of steam behind me, 'sh*t, its buggered' i thought but like i said only a coolant hose. Re-filled with coolant, run her up to temperature, fan cut in, all was well.

Didnt get much of a chance to take many pictures as we were working for msot of the day. After the engine fitting and running turned my attention to the inside of the car, all the dials are working as they should be, clocks, dash lights, SPOT ON!
Brilliant end to a beautiful day!
Having the mongoose exhaust fitted in the week and new suspension at the weekend. Also a ful respray in (of course) Tungsten in the next week or two!

Big big thanks to Brad and his old man, real big help very much apreciated! Also thanks to Clisport.net as ive made a good mate in Brad just from visiting the forum!!!

^^^ Unit for £50 a month. That sounds like a good deal mate might have to look into that. Project almost complete. Fancy something for the summer...

Its not a big unit... about as big as a double garage but definatly worth it and good to work on 2 cars in!!

Were in the middle of the williams conversion and then were going to put a valver engine in the 1.2 run around my cousins got and track it...
