Project White PH1!

Here's the car when i bought it the other week:

Lent the car to a mate for a bit, oops:

Anyway, not a problem really!

After requiring some bodywork i have decided the car will stand out and look better in white with black wheels and black side trims.

From these next pictures you'll guess this is not intended to be a road car!

Let the stripping begin:

Was not too sure if i was going to keep the dash or not but yesterday decided it's going!

I'll be making some sort of sheeting to house switches and the clocks etc.

Just ordered a momo jet steering wheel and boss kit so that should be ok.

Will be trying to break off all the sound deadening crap this week and begin prepping the shell for paint!

Mods planned for the suspension and breaks TBA

Mods planned for the engine are ITB's and cams running stock management!

For a base this car makes 144hp yes 144hp FLY! The cam timing is currently out so before any power enhancing mods are installed and mapped this will be sorted to give us a propper base to work from.

From then on EVERY mod will be tested seperate on the dyno!

Also the A/C is coming out before the new cross member is welded in, i have removed the condenser already so just need the cup alternator bracket

Black is not a one off so white it is i rekon.

I felt bad stripping this one actually, the car was really really mint inside and the bodywork is/was pretty good too.

Stock ecu will be a challenge but possible. (i hope!)

Should be getting painted pretty soon i think, although the engine bay will be done later as i need it to drive still.

Of course i need to look into the cage before the inside is done so it can all be done in one go.

Stripping ph1s is becoming a popular hobby on here

Really interested in the whole ITB on stock management thing! Which bodies will you be using, the AT Power ones or Jenveys? Can you keep aircon with the AT bodies?

Not sure which ones i will be using yet, but with work A/C could be kept yes. Of course i pulled it from this to save some weight.

I was going to be doing this project the opposite way round but now the body side will come first, i'll keep updating the thread though so watch this space.

if he can get it to run on stock management think how many people will opt for this instead of an expensive aftermarket system!
