Car  E36 M3. 182
does the gtt motor physically fit into a mk1ph1? what
mounts would i need to fit it? what fuel pump would i need to use? what electrics does the gtt motor use? any advice would be helpful, cheers:)

Yep fits no rpobelem use the day and night 1.1 mount setc and it goes in.

Best of get a doner GTT and use all the wiring etc and sell the rest of the GTT for spares.

Gtt is an old engine so electrics are likly to be quite simple.

yeah, cant think of what would be electronically controlled on those engines, not fuelling cos its a carb, doubt theyd electronically control boost that long ago, possibly ignition???? hows it controlled? mechanically?? hmm:S

yeah basically a wire to the coil and it will run. theres anti-perc fan and stuff like that but they arnt important to get it to run

whats the anti-perc fan and other stuff?? so it fits onto standard mounts, only needs a wire to the coil and fuel to the carb and bobs your uncle?????

I thought the 5 was ecu controled boost wise i know it has a carb

wouldnt it be a wastegate set to open at a set pressure, thought that was why people used bleed valves to up boost, to fool it?? think volvo mite be a hassle with mounts, electrics etc....
btw, how much does a built up gtt block weigh minus its head?
