Proper upset - car skirts stolen

Got up this morning to find that someone has stolen the skirts of my car. In order to do this theyve basically ripped them off screwing up all the side of the car and scratching some of wheels ive had for just short of a week. Im proper gutted. Not sure what situation is on the insurance but at any rate ive ot excess to pay and a car that looks totally sh*t till it all gets sorted out. Thinking of getting rid of the clio now and getting something im happy with standard. Gutted.

Cant believe theyve actually stolen them. Checked all around local to the place where i parked it (on my own road which ahs never had any trouble on it) and they are no where to be seen. Still cant believe that some1 would do that.

Now the question is, remodify or get back to standard and sell it.

f**king hell thats terrable feel for ya m8 but dont let it put you off modding it i felt like that a few weeks back when my car came back from the body shop a total mess wanted to get rid but ive since just put it down to a hicup and im gonna get it resprayed at the end of the month hopefully .the way im looking at it now is its gonna cost me £800 to put right but theres worse things that could happen than losing £800

Mate, have you told all the peeps you now from the guidford cruise, I would do that straight away so they know if some Dick with a clio comes into there bodyshop with some ripped off skirts asking for them to be fitted you can get round there and knock him off.

Also dont let it put you off modifying, maybe just go for a more subtle approach to modifying, subtle styling and then slam it, hehe

You may find that they turn up somewhere near by matey, Get your little bros on the case, otherwise I am sure we can find some others for sale on ebay 2nd hand in the same shape as your old ones and I will fit them for ya as well as the front splitter - OH! but scratching your wheels is a f**k!

bodyshop r being safe about it. said he would get to work on it as soon as insruance comes through.

personally i wouldnt bother with the insurance mate, you will end up paying the majority of it because of your excess.......

let ALL the clubs know about this in your area, not just one, post it on as many cruise/club websites you can find.......

ring a few bodyshops, not just the one you use

do inform the police, even if they dont do anything at least there is a record that you have reported the crime...

well guys my insurance is 250 flat. the skirts will b that alone i rekon from new. fitting them blending them, repairign the wheels... will all be a lot more.



cant let other people stop me having what i want. will keep modding regardless.

Mate of mine, had his skirts and front bumper nicked off his astra gsi(new one) from the metro centre car park in gateshead. Imagine coming back to your car and it having no front bumper. They caught those responsible, bumper was nicked at 4:00pm sat, was for sale at 5:30pm on astra forums

People were always having a go at mine, both the RT and the 16v. You prob all know that some chavs nicked my front grill and the rear boot strip a couple of weeks ago.

fortunately most of the wheels r ok it seems.

damage to rear bumper, passenger door, passenger wing, passenger mirror, passenger wheel, removal of passenger and driver skirts - meaning damage to underneath pasenger&driver doors and wings.

its pretty bad and the car looks terrible. just got off hpone with poilce, cant do nothnng as fingerprints on outside of car r useless. only good if insdie which there arent any. so rining insurance in a bit ....how depressing

Sucks, but get a "Crime" number from the Police and its better with the Insurance, no excess I think.

Hopefully they damaged the skirts in the removal so they cant use em.

I have a mate who had a 95 M3. He came outta the gym car park one and found both bumpers gone, side skirts gone, mirrors gone, and the whole leather interior gone.

He had to borrow a box from the gym to sit on to drive it home.

found out from a neighbour it was 3 young kids....they nicked one of my valve caps too little sh*ts. hopefully everything goes sweet with the insurance...

any1 think i should have a word with clifford? my alaram didnt go off at all. its a concept 300 no add ones... but its weird cause sometimes it goes off when i wash it...surely it should have gone off!?
