Prospeed exhaust question??

Everyone seems happy with their Prospeed. They are custom made right? I do have question:

1) How they custom made?? Do in front of you?? Change a bit of how the pipe goes, depends on how low your is???

2) How much for full set of sport cat + cat back system?

3) Do they deliver to Far East?

thanks!

1) Ask you how you want it and Charlie'll fabricate it infront of you.

2) £350-400ish

3) Dunno. probably for a price.

From the Far East?! ;)

It seems everyone are happy with their exhaust. I am wondering how they determine the way/bend the exhaust goes??? And do they have do a lot of test before they bend?? I mean to get the best result from the system.

ProSpeed do not make 'proper' sports exhaust. they take there pipe in whichever diameter they think is best or you ask for, and they create a system on the spot that they think will give you what you desire.

what they have is years of expertise and know how.

They do not flow test anything and create refinments (as far as i am away)

If you want an exhaust with 'garuenteed' gains, pay more and get a Yozzasport, or Shed Motorsport one

Pro-speed are as good as they get as far as custom-made s/s exhausts go ,with a decat gains can b expected .

If definate gains are required there are makes as mentioned above which could deliver more but expect to pay the price .... it's like anything in life .

Depends on what your after .

charlie is very good for affordable systems and they are made very well but the best??

i have been in touch with a company that builds s/s exhaust's for the touring car boys and that is a system! the tig is the best there is! ive been quoted for my williams system and lets say its approx 4x what charlie would cost!!

4 times u say ?? so u would pay in the region of £1200+ for an exhaust ?? rather u than me lol ,if i wanted to extract every bit of bhp out of my car for say quarter miling/track days ... that would maybe worth it ... for everyday use lets not be silly .

The general market is what Charlie is at & that is what most people want ,good quality s/s exhaust for a half decent price, that is what he is best at .

i agree, thats why it is proving to be quite a popular choice; nice sound, good price, good quality workmanship, lifetime guarantee, which is transferable to any new owners for a small fee. You can see why I was sold... :) I would definately say it is a very sporty low note though, not necessarily for the faint hearted, depending on what option you go for, but I love the sound personally... will post sound clip, asap...

cli0 172 - you would cringe at the fact that our BTB system cost nearly 2k to develop then!!

I can see where Scott's coming from - it's all about fit for purpose. If you're looking for a s/s exhaust to replace the standard item, with a nice noise and decent build quality at a low price, then Prospeed are one of the better options. Obviously for other purposes something like an Orbisound or BTB is much better at fulfilling that role.

Me, I'll be after an exhaust at some point in the future to replace my std 172 one, wanting good build quality, quiet but nice exhaust note, and for it NOT to lose me any power. Something like Prospeed would probably be good for me I guess.

hkka - I'm guessing you're wondering if they could fabricate you an exhaust without your car being present, then post if out to you? Fitments can't differ much between similar cars so I don't see why they couldn't.
