protection after restoring headlights? uv coating?

Is there anything i can use to stop the problem returning?

A coating like GTechniq C4 or Carpro DLUX will certainly help far longer than any wax or sealant. I'm not sure if many waxes or sealants provide a UV barrier,

FK and Shield do, IIRC.

This chips and needs redoing, so is not as good a solution as the above that Dave mentioned.

do you have headlight washers?

if so you will need to use some decent hard wearing stuff as the window washer solution will probably be very strong!

C4/Dlux will definitely hold up to this - so will FK1000p, although good shout and something I'd never really thought about.

the last time i had G1 on my windscreen i never used my washers for about 5 months hehe, OCD kicking in right there!

The lacquer isn't waht gives it the finish, and in time will be marked by debris and stone chippings, plus its not UV resistance

The C4 looks like it will do the job, expensive though!

C4 can be used on any surface that is prepped properly except glass, so your black textured plastics, alloys providing long term protection
