blank blu-rays are as expensive as buying the retail product at the mo still!

plus having to download 30gb + is a pain.

The price of media is coming down. I use re-writable BD's with out any issues. I even have a 50 GB BD-RE.

If you have a slow Broadband connection and would suffer with being capped / penalised for downloading large amounts then yes I agree it wouldn’t be worth it but for those who don’t have this problem then downloading HD content and burning your own works out a lot better then buying them to watch maybe 2-3 times.
