ps3 blu ray question

i know you can play blu ray on the ps3 but can you also play hd dvd.

whats the difference between the 2

No you can't. HD-DVD is a completely different format, kind of like trying to play a DVD in your hifi, just won't be readable.

Samsung I believe are bringing out a player that will play both though IIRC.
