Spoke to a sony rep and this isn't certain but he said either Q4 or Q1 2007 :S also said the price is going to be more expensive than anticipated due to the PS3 having the blue ray drive in (which may possibly replace DVD's) and they are going to cost ££££'s still going to buy one thoughe :approve:
^ Also don't forget that they are releasing a 60GB HD. Which as of yet they haven't said will be bundled together with the PS3 or not.
I think it will cost around £450 - £500. Far to much money in my opinion.
And for all those people who bought more than 1 Xbox 360 to sell on ebay for twice of what they paid. Sony have said that they "aim" to distribute over 1 million units each month to cope with the demand...
Microsoft also made such claims. The PS2 ran out of stock at xmas time a few years after launch. Games developers are now saying there's "nothing in it" imbetween PS3 and Xbox 360. The PS3 stats look better, but the 360's true ability is not demonstrated by stats due to its multi layer chips.
I have a 360, and will get a PS3 too. However in all honesty I'm more exited about the Revolution. Nintendo forgot more about making games then Sony and Microsoft ever knew.
