Looks like a cross between Half-Life 2 and Prey to me. Good all the same, but not original IMO. I guess it depends if you've been sucked in by all the next-gen console hype and not realised that PC games have been this stuff for ages

I have. Prey. Although there were weopons in that, as I hope there will be in this game. It will get very boring very quickly otherwise!

It does look good and I hope it is, but from that, it doesn't look ground breaking.

I absolutely loved prey and finished it on 360. It was a game with a story and atmosphere though where as this portal thing seems to lack those qualities. Perhaps they should have just integrated some of those original takes on the prey idea in a PS3 version of Prey. As a standalone game that doesn't look like it would keep me interested.

Yeah Prey was superb. I cleared it on PC and was gutted that it was over. Sure, some of the dialogue and story was small cheesy, but the gameplay is so inovative and orginal. It magane dto integrate the gravity and portal stuff into the gameplay so that it didn't just feel like a bolt on for effect.

Brilliant game. In fact I'll probably reinstall it and have another spin. (@1680x1050 -xbox owned )

The more I watch that video the more I think it's a cross between HL2 and Prey!

So, Lee, are basically saying it's just a tech demo that may never become a game?

From what I can remember, as I've not really been following, I think it's going to be downloadable on Steam like other updates and games for the same engine. Valve snapped up the students who wrote Nebacular Drop.

I don't think there's going to be what could be called a "full" game from it though.

I think it looks quite cool, but I'm sure it would soon get on my nerves and make me feel ill. Prey did!
