PS4 help

First of all I’m limited in knowledge with these games.
A fiend gave me one of these and just powering up it says to reinstate the software i gather I need to download some software of PS4 website and upload to the machine is this correct..

I did this last night on my son's PS4 Pro in preparation for getting shot of it (He's getting a PS5 for Christmas). Very straightforward.
