Pug 306 Keypad Immobiliser

  A4 Avant & A3
Sorry..
I know it's not renault, but just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with the Peugeot Keypad immobilisers??
Such as, can you simply replace the actual keypad without any probs? or does it do alot more than just pass on a code to another peice of kit?. (i'm guessing it's not quite that simple?)

The number '0' on mine seems to be stuck in, therefore, when you turn the key, number 0 has already been pressed (once, maybe several times.. even constantly) which then means you can't put your correct code in & use the damn car!... it's begining to get annoying now.

Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers

IIRC, you can disable the code at startup, so you don't have to keep entering it (you'll have to consult the manual). Once you've done that, you could probably disconnect and remove the keypad from the car.
I used to have a mk1 XSi.

I shall revisit the manual then, didn't notice anything about that.
I've worked out how to remove the actual panel so that bit's not a problem as long as i can disable the thing!

Cheers
