lift up the rubber cover and get some mole grips on the plastic at the bottom with the slits in it. It only takes a slight twist to get it started and then you can just pull it off.
The top bit you hold onto is a lump of white plastic with a rubber (leather) cover over it. There is then a silver plug pushed into that with the gear number on it. Know what I mean now?! A small screwdriver will remove the plug.
Peel the rubber (leather) up and youll see the white plastic bit Im on about and the slits around it!
