Pulling to the left even after alignment/tracking check?

  RB 182
I’ve noticed recently that my car was pulling to the left a bit and under heavy breaking so took it to a garage on Saturday to check for alignment and tracking…

I got them to have a good check at the suspension and steering components just incase and nothing wrong was spotter. Anywho, took the car for a spin home and the car was still pulling to the left slightly, the steering wheel was quite a bit off centre also which is bloody annoying.

I’m taking it back to correct the steering wheel, but will this just put me back to the first problem? I haven’t got a clue what they do but are there any areas I can check such as shocks, springs, etc that could be causing the pull to the left? Tire pressure and ware is spot on as they are only a month or so new.

are you sure it hasn't always done it? slight pull to the left is to be expected as cars with sensitive steering will follow the camber of the road which, in the UK, is to the left to allow for drainage

Nope, hit a few pot holes last Fri and noticed a big difference. I know what you mean about road camber but its alot worse than that. :( will have a good peek under the car when its at the garage.

I'd take the car to another garage to get the tracking done right. Many places regardless of equipemtn used cannot set it up right its not difficult just easy to lazy up at.

was it laser tracked.
swap the front and rear tyres see if that makes a difference
i had the same thing got it tracked (before i went in the wheel was straight) drove it out after i had it tracked and the steering wheel was quite badly off center.
never got round to going back and when i fitted my laguna rims with new tyres the steering was dead straight and it handled perfect.
also, if its only pulling under braking, did you tell them this? as that could be caused by brake inbalance

sorry to hijack, i hit a pot hole the other day and now my car pulls to the left, do i just need to get the wheel alignment sorted or the tracking?

Have you checked tyre pressures? Might be low on the side of your car that hit the pot holes as impact might have dropped them, strange but true as all rubber components aren't 100% air tight. Might have worn tyres too.. or both.

Yep, it was laser alignment. I will get them to swap the tyres around and re-track. There is a 28 day policy if i'm not happy with the tracking. See how it goes and report back. Don't fancy paying more atm, give the garage one more try and take it from there.

Thanks for all the advice :)
