pwnt a V6 Brera yesterday

  Trophy 265/500
I did enjoy watching it try to keep up, but keep getting smaller and smaller, hopefully like the ego of the rather cliched bloke driving it.

  Golf R soon...
Nice one, they ain't fast at all,

The V6 has 256 bhp and does 0-60 in 6.6 and tops out at 152.

I would imagine it was a diesel you "pwnt"

  Trophy 265/500
Had a lot of exhausts and revved very high for an oil burner ; )

The cnut carved me from a side road and I overtook immediately. He was then right up my chufter. I waited till we got past the known local speed cameras and populated bits and into a series of twisties and opened up. Going into first bend I was dot on the valve change and he was in a way high gear - booted it and nothing happened. By the time he changed down the damage was done - just ended up looking foolish.

Must say, they are very pretty cars, but there are quite a lot of them on the roads these days - I can think of much better ways to spend £30K

S2000; new shape TT 3.2; new Sti; New Evo.

Pretty is nice, but the missus' 500 still gets more looks than anything else on the road at the minute. Breras are getting rather common to be honest.

  Trophy 265/500
By common I mean 3 in work car park, 3-4 more parked on the road nearby (one with a very good personal plate for the business D10MET) and four more that live in Swinton/top of Wath.

Same area we're talking one Trophy, one cup, 2 full fat 182s and a 172FF

And one 500 8 )

rubbish, they are not a common car, thats just ridiculous, maybe your area is freakish and you have a few but I have only ever seen 2 on the road since they were launched!

Agreed, i've only even seen a couple of them too. I saw a gorgeous black one last friday, the four exhausts on it looked nice, not in your face at all

  197-I love!!!
Love The Alfa Brera-read somewhere They are going to put a fairly serious engine in it soon.Should be amazing!

and people think the V6 clio is heavy...the brera weighs in at a huge 1630kg kerb weight, giving it just 157bhp per tonne (same as the 197), less than a 182/172 :)

There were rumours of a GTA version of the Brera powered by a 3.5 litre V6. This engine would be a bored out version of the 3.2 in the Alfa 159. Supposed to have 300 bhp and four wheel drive.

Probably not financial sense to make it sadly! Know a days the diesels are the best selling versions of most cars.

the brera isn't about speed though, its about looking good and that it does very well, not many better looking cars on the road!

Really, I don't like the look myself, but each to his/her own ;)

i think they are 10x better looking than any clio or megane!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder i guess......

  Mk4 XR3i 90 - spec
No offence matey but theres a bit of a difference between your 1.6 147 and the V6 Brera..

But it's still made by Alfa. I thought they were nice cars til i started driving one. It's just an odd feeling of, i don't like this. And the usual Alfa problems to do with electrics etc.
