Q’s to ask insurance companies

Does anyone know any questions that are good/vital to ask insurance companies when getting a quote? I’ve asked about the standard excesses, courtesy cars if damaged/written off/stolen, audio cover, modifications cover, whether they do like-for-like replacement, legal cover, if I’m insured driving other cars… errr….



I will ask about Fully Comp cover if driving abroad when I phone back but is there any other questions that I should be asking?

What garages will they tell you to take car to in the event of an accident.

I didnt know they usually ask you to take it to an approved garage. I took mine to my usual local backstreet garage. Fortunately they accepted it as it would have been a clart taking it elsewhere from there.

Might be worth asking if theres any way of getting it any cheaper.

Might be worth asking if they do any other cheaper stuff ie AA cover etc.

Full Recovery included in the price apparently, including Home Start and all that, though I will check the paperwork when it arrives.

Managed to get it for £518 in the end, and itll be nearer £600 when the mods are added. Cheeky feckers said Id have to ring up again when its modded to add them on, so no doubt theyll want an admin fee for that... grrr!

Still, most places were quoting well over £600 with mods so its not all bad.
