question about clio 182 front brake pads

hi i just bought some brake pads for my clio 182 as it failed its mot and they have a wear indicator wire coming off them , as i know my clio 182 dont have that so do i just cut the wire ? the place i bought it from said the brake pads fit a few other cars with wear indicators and he said if your dont have a wear indicator to just cut the wire? thanks please replly

yeh providing the pad fits and is the correct size etc just chop the wire
