Question about Matched inlets...

Was a bit bored on sunday morning waiting for someone so I decided to whip my inlets off on my hybrid.

Now i've seen pictures on here of inlets that are so much smaller than the gasket its unreal. But mine aren't! They are exactly the same size as the gasket. (Lower inlet btw)

So am I right in assuming that its not worth my time/expense getting them matched?

Cheers x

I took the upper off the lower and looked at it there.

Am I doing it wrong??

No thats half the picture, thats all :)

Feel under the lower at the front - in between the 'flutes' - there are flat sections in between the inlets - see if they have raised letters, smooth feeling about 40mm in length - if you can feel them they are RS inlets, although unlikely on your car unless they have been added at some point - Very surprised if they are non RS if they are a good match to the gasket, however how they match to each other is the most important part.

The other biggy is the porting to the head, I will try and get you a before and after pic tmrw, RS inlet before, modified inlets after, then you can make up your own mind :)
