Question about steering wheel removal

I am in the process of removing my steering wheel ready for a retrim.

Could somebody tell me if I can reconnect the battery whilst the airbag and steering wheel are removed in order for me to lock the car up?

I don't want any warning lights or problems coming on if the car recognises the airbag missing.

I would think that you would be fine. The worst that could happen would be it will either take a few days to go away or you need to go to a garage to clear the warning light if it doesnt go out.
