questions

hi not been on the forum long, but thinking of getting a new car firstly thought of a fiesta st but dont no if i can justify spending 10k + on summet which only produces 150bhp out of a 2.0.

so now im looking at getting a clio 172/182 just wanted no, how hard are they to get more power from? and also are they really bad on fuel?and whats the handling like?

good mpg 35+ at least even with spirited driving, excellent handling even more so when lowered or on on coilovers. and you can get a minter for 5k.

No N/A car is easy to get more power out of really apart from a few exceptions, but generally your talking maybe 10bhp for a full set of breathing mods.

If you want tuneability then you need something with a turbo/superchargers, Colt CZT's, Ibiza's, Golf's, Cooper S's etc. For what you spend getting 10bhp on an N/A you could get an extra 50-60bhp+ from a standard turbo'ed car.

You can get fiesta st's for a lot less than 10k now, but in terms of 'bang for your buck' as it were, the clio is quicker for less outlay.

Mpg wise on a 172, easily into the 40's.
