Quick Autosol Question

Hi Guys,

I have bought some Autosol to clean up my exhausts, they have built up a lot of staining...

Have read previous threads on autosol, but am concerned about one thing...
Will scrubbing the exhausts with wire wool scratch them up? I don't want to ruin them and/or put loads of scratches all over them...

As long as it is a very fine grade of wire wool it will be fine.

The detailing suppliers all sell the very fine grade stuff, I have some harsher stuff a friend gave me and it is like swarf !!!!

you'll need 00 or 000 grade wool.

Yeah, bought some this morning, 000 FTW!... Looking forward to shining up my exhaust! ;-)

i use it with an old microfibre, cleans mine up a treat!

The exhausts have never been cleaned, and there's come serious staining on them, so hopefully the wire wool will do the trick, and then going forward i can give them some microfibre love!...

Even on good condition exhausts the combination of the wire wool and abrasives in the metal polish will create an effect the cloth alone won't.
