quick bolt size question

this is a stupid question but what size are the wheel bolts for a 172 cup i'm going to order new ones but can't be bothered to go out to the car to look so who can rescue me, what do i buy lol

Standard bolt size is M12x1.5 26mm long 60 degree fixed seat.

erm, the thread is different, so yeah it would be a problem.
if the original is M12x1.5 it means the thread advances 1.5mm for a whole turn, so M12x1.25 is a finer thread and you might risk ruining the threads in the hub.
