It says car should be dry before i start, surely it's better when it's wet? More lubed up?

got to be dry, water contain contaminants(sp) just use the quick detailer

The car be clayed wet if you like. If doing it that way better to use a soap and water mix rather than QD though.

Can be done wet after wash with AG Shampoo & water mix??

Not tried the AG myself but being as it makes a very lubricated wash solution I would think it will work fine.

I normally put 2 -4 capfuls of Car shampoo in a 500ml spray bottle and clay away.

only problem is if it's too dry , you can never over lubricate
