Quick exam question (internet secuirty)

Basically got an internet security exam tmrw, just going through past papers and writing down answers so I can revise some more, the exam is on "Computer Systems and Internet Security). ive got the question:

Ethernet uses MAC addresses to communicate, but TCP/IP uses IP addresses. How is this resolved ?

Its only a few marks, but ive looked everywhere through my notes and I cant find the answer and im sure it will come up can anyone help.
