Quick logbook question

  2004 iceberg 172
Hi just recently bought a clio 172 and recieved the logbook through the post, theproblem is that there is no model wrote on the logbook so i'm struggling to get a quote as the insurance database brings it up as a renault 2004 lol. Anyways i've rang the dvla and ive to write a cover letter with whats meant to be wrote there.
Anyways to the point is the model meant to say clio, cliosport, clio 172?
If one of you with a 172, could check your logbook for me, would be much appreciated

Mine reads

RENAULT CLIO

1998cc

and how come you didnt get a quote before buying the car?

Thanks for that.
I got a quote on a 172 and a 182 before i bought te car, both were the same and are cheap enough for me to insure, just now i've bought it the reg comes up as a renault 2004, so dont bring a correct vehicle up, same when i go to eurocarparts, just need to change the logbook and all should be good

Hopefully mine gets sorted soon, eurocarparts think the problem is because its imported from ireland? Dont know if this is true and dvla think its just because the logbook doesnt have a model stated on it

Thanks for the help guys, just going to put it as "clio renaultsport 172" as the majority of yours say this

  It's nice
my car is a 04 black 182
logbog says....

renault
standard car
colour black
engine number unknown

spoke to the dvla about it
they say
the car was registered with those details by renault
so they have been copied over from owner to owner
to change the details the dvla say.
take it to renault get a letter from them to say what the car is
send the dvla the letter with the logbook and 25 quid
and they will change it
but after a few question ,i was told about 40% of cars have details missing from the logbook
they also gave my a few details about my car over the phone
saying it had always been insured from new/mot hade been kept up to date

even renault dont have the car on the system,i have to give them the vin number for parts

it only a problem if you come to sell.
go to renault get the letter to confirm the model
then if the buyer wants it changed on the logbbook
then go to dvla for the buyer piece of mind
