quick PHP question

Ive changed something somehow... and when im doing my php work and im viewing the pages in firefox or iexplore, when i click a link to say "results.php" rather than displaying the page, its asking me where I want to save the file... also now and again when im on this clioforum its doing the same. so it must be some setting ive changed?!

The problem with the php page thing on CS is because the mySQL database is taking too long to return results to the webserver's PHP script. A webserver such as apache (which runs this forum) has a definable time limit on how long to execute php scripts for, in the case of this forum I would say they have left it on the default 30 seconds. After that time it gives up and sends an incomplete page.. firefox interprets it as a file download, IE just gives you a page cannot be displayed error.

The problem you are having is probably because you havent told your web server to execute files with the php extension as php files.
