Quick question about my engine

I have a 54 plate 1.2 16v dynamique. It seems my throttle body is just underneath the engine cover and is very visible and accessible, on the internet/Haynes manual you have to take everything off plus all the sensors.

Also, my airbox is much bigger than what should be on my car. I need the 05 airfilter rather than the 54 one. Why is my car different? It seems to have an 05 engine in a 2004 shell? My cars September 2004. Is this why? If anyone can shed some light it'd be brill

I wouldn't worry mate it's probably an early version of the revised engine design.

If you have an early release of the later spec, dance around with joy! The early ones were chronic for loom issues, and a bit of a pain to work on

Balls... This might explain my car's imaginary misfire that started recently :/

At random times (usually when parked at a slight angle, never whilst driving) the car just has the symptoms of a misfire, light comes on, carry on driving and it stops and light goes off, everything back to normal...

Changed the coilpack and spark plugs, the injectors are fine so must be electrical no?

The wipers at the front also spaz onto full speed for some reason, but fix themselves if you remove the fuse for a bit...

I think you're right. So I have an early 05 engine? The older engines had loom issues and pain to work on?
