Quick Question

My car is in the dealers on monday a loose heat sheild and broken temp sensor. The temp needle works when it wants to. When it doesn't the car over revs when at idle. The worst its been is close to 2k when fully warmed up. Will thw two be connected or is it something else that needs fixing?

cant c the temp sensor causing it to over rev , tell the stealers wots goin on ???

OK. seems like another problem to report. anybody else had the engine over rev at idle? What was the problem?
