Really shows how capable the R is. Considering the FD2 is one of their favourite new cars on BM.

The MINI? Well, just watch the video. Trounced.

I've just discovered something f**king cool.
Double click it and you get an echo effect.

Seen this before. On here.

seen it more times than i've seen immi on wimmy road with 23 b1tches in the back looking righteous

caused a right forum war this did :D

i think the mini does a good job, the driver just looks a bit ragged.

Mini may be the slowest but certainly to most road users has the best image.

FD2 for me all the way though, these things dont seem to have dropped a penny in the last 12 months.

  Tangoed Works
mini is probably fitted with runshats lol. have to say the FD2 looks the most exciting to be in, but the R26r the most composed.

  123D Coupe + MK1 MX5
Good video, Megane seemed to be pulling out of the bends with it's low down grunt on the FD2, still close...

  MCS R56
JCW is a great car tbf.

Driven one mate?

Not a Works. I just really dislike them visually, I know they are very good cars. I'm pretty sure that I know 6 people who own a Mini, one being a Works and they are all girls.

I've driven the 'charged S and was not overly impressed, compared to the Clio anyway.

I had a play with a 'normal' R26 around Oulton Park a while back and we were pretty evenly matched so doesn't surprise me that an R26-R easily has the measure of the FD2.

Is it really a fair test on the Mini though???

The R26R is probably running the Toyo 888s and the FD2 will probably have the Bridgestone RE070s as standard which are both pretty hardcore track tyres.

Can we confirm the Mini was running similar or was it wearing the same boots as it would straight from the showroom?

Would explain why it was so far behind.

  Facelift R53 Cooper S
As much as I dislike the R56 Cooper S I do think it's unfair to put it up against an R26-R, fair enough it got mullered by the FD2 I can accept that lol

  FN2 Type R +MK6 Golf
Im suprised how poor the mini did on a track.Im also shocked at how bad the honda looks but performed so well.

Megane did exactly as i expected...

  Turbos.
They look utter s**t, i think you are blinded by JDM love. They should do a nice Coupe version, i.e. another Integra Type R. The proportions of them are so stupid. Ug-lay.

JCW is made to look slow, but bear in mind it has runflats versus two cars with hot tyres. It's no where near as focused, but is going to be a better road car. I suppose they just wanted to show a difference between a normal hot hatch and track day focused ones.

They should have used a control tyre.
