R27 f1

Thanks

its actually £100 cheaper on their website. They weren't open today so I couldn't phone for extra details.

at the price I'm thinking the belts are overdue... possibly still a decent price compared to others on PH/AT.

What do you think to your R27?

Lol so it is. Pick up a new one for 150 iirc (without airbag)

yeh it does now you mention it. Re-trim job?

If it doesnt have climate control do they default to standard aircon?

Steering wheel looks about in the same condition as mine - just get a new one, unless you want a non-standard finish. If you go to see it, make sure the driver's seat is in okay condition, they've conveniently composed the photo so that it doesn't show the bit that usually falls apart.

I note it also just says "service history" and not "full service history" so make sure you see the book! Like you I fully expect that it hasn't had the cambelt done. That isn't necessarily a bad thing - you can at least then ensure that it gets done by someone you trust. If you drive it make sure you go up and down through the box, especially checking the 5th to 4th change, looking for any clickiness indicative of impending synchro failure.

And yeah, it will have air conditioning, just not the nicer digital display and the auto wipers and auto lights (they're all part of the climate pack I think). Xenons is a big plus point.

I'd offer them £6,500 for it!

its a fair way over priced-

Steering wheel £150
Cambelt ~ £600
Mats £ 50
Recaro Retrim £200 notice they have carefully omitted the bolster from the pics- means its shagged.

Klem, I got my f1 in Dec and it needed a cambelt. I paid £6,600 for the car, similar mileage to this, and it doesn't have Xenons. Seats were in good nick though. The price seems about right, but definitely try to knock off a couple of hundreds, esp if the seats are worn. I think I paid tad over the odds to be fair. Kicking myself to this day, but I was a car-buying newbie.

If you do need a cambelt, I'd recommend Mick at Diamond Motors in Long Eaton. They're an Ind Renault Specialist. He did mine and it wasn't £600 (I think it was abt £450). He's into his RenaultSports.

I put a deposit on this today.

The seats were not bad at all (the steering wheel is a mess though)

I managed to negotiate a decent discount on account of the cambelt... They offered to do it but Id rather have piece of mind it's been done right.

I'll definitely use Mick, he has just done the belts and dephaser on my 172 cup (for sale soon). I'll get it booked in once I pick it up. I gave them a decent list of jobs I wanted doing prior to collection.
