R3OBC insurance update

  H22A7 Accord Type R

right guys, my car is beyond economical repair according to the assessor - at last! Now bearing in mind, i guestimated the car to be of £5000 value when i took out my policy, assessor confirmed the value to be of £5500, so ive got that. Shame my £350 excess comes out of it (doubt it will get recovered too).

Sooooooooo, im pretty happy with how quickyl they have sorted this to be honest, it was only the engineers report holding it all up. Quite happy (cough, Highway). We shall see how the un-insured losse go eh?

Right, after i clear my loan, i will have £1000 to play with, which is sh*te compared to what i lost on my car lol! Sooooo, New flame Red Dci 80 (probably) is favourite! If i can get one the right side of 9K (black kro??) not fussed about air con or anything. Makro motors on the net do pre-regs for a gooood price!

Apparently my policy may still be running also, i need to speak to HIC about that to see if i can put a new car on the policy, which is paid till March 2005?

Cheers for now guys, Rob

Makro have a 182 for £9800 I think only an extra £800 onto of a dci prices for way more of a car.

What about an older ie 51 52 reg 1.2 or dci 65 would be a load cheaper newer Clios loose value like a brick as you know.
After all if your cars £5k and you have a grand then you only need a £4k loan to buy a similar model. Drive that for 2yrs pay of the loan and save some and then with the cheaper insuracne get a faster car and you wont have lost as much as getting an 80dci etc and in 3yrs have lost a fortune in value.

nah a 182 is not an option buddy lol, insurance, no ncb, etc. Dci makes sense all round, and id plan on keepin the car for 4yrs at least, like i was planning on with my 1.2, but that was out of my control. Id still rather buy from a main dealer, it just feels safer, but it all depends if i can haggle them down to under £10k......hmmmm, fun and games begin
