r5 gt manifold

  FOR SALE!!!
hey guys do you think the r5 gt manifold could be made to fit a 1.2 16v head with mayb a flange plate between the manifold and and the cyl head so all the holes line up?

  FOR SALE!!!
is there any good manifold that i could use as dont really wanna spend £250-£300 getting 1 made up

  FOR SALE!!!
so do u not think a flange plater could be made up? eg a plate of metal shapped like the clio manifold and have the holes were the clio manifold would join but then the 5 manifold join to this plate allowing it to be joined to the clio head

chances are the holes are way out as on the gtt the inlet and outlet are on the same side and as far as im aware the 1.2 16v is a crossflow.

  FOR SALE!!!
ya i no using the hole lump would be easier but i been diffrent lol this is just a home project to see if i can get the 1.2 16v engine running boost

not just with an ecu. youve got CR, fuelling, exhaust, oil feeds/return, map sensor etc to think about, the 1.2 runs a plastic inlet aswell, so you'd need to change that. how are you going about the CR?

  FOR SALE!!!
i dunno what the cr is but oil feed etc will all be coming off a r5 will be gettinng the ecu remapped to run boost and i no bout the plastic inlet but dont inteat to run silly boost so think the plastice should hold out if will get metal 1 made up and fulling use big injetors

keep the stock compresion ratio, u dnt have to lower it ud have a nice responsive off boost car with high comp. alot of folk in the tuning sceens use stock compresion or raise it nowadays, lowering compratios is old hat and a way of compensating for not being able to control the burn efficiently. oil feed and drain are easy stuff. (take a feed from the oil pressure switch and weld a drain to the sump) bigger injectors will be controled by the standalone ecu and the map sensor again is somthing that some ecus have built in, plus u can get them new for around 80 notes. not as hard as some make out, that hard bit is fabrication of parts namley the manifolds and downpipe the rest is easy stuff.

  FOR SALE!!!
so if i get the manifold and teh downpipe made to join my exhasut pipe it all up witht he oil feed etc biggier injectors then get the ecu dun it should be all ok

i aint after high boost just get the car to around the 100 bhp and be diffrent bout it as i have a 1.2 8v engine and going to buy the 16v lump to work on why it out the car then my mate will drop it in for me
