R5GTT injection - idea

Im trying to get some good ideas for making the perfect as possible injection for R5GTT...

So this idea hit me...

Fiat Uno Turbo ie. It has same capacity, and similiar output. So, basically, with little bit of modifiyng the ECU, this could be a pretty good idea. Those Unos have Magnetti Marelli microplex ignition, so that shouldnt be as faulty as Fiats ;)

What do you think, lads?

try talking to the guys un rtoc its been done (injection on a 5) before not sure who did it or what parts they used but im sure someone there will know

not sure but if you cant try to PM marcus cliogtt as im pretty sure hes a member and he might be able to ask the question if the forum is read only for non members

eh?

what part are you looking for?

SOrting the throttle bodies is easy, as is converting it to high pressure fuel supply. I would convert to coil packs and buy a s/h standalone management ECU..........i wouldnt bother with fiddling other OE ECUs.

BB Tuning use the Clio 16v ECU when fitting fuel injection to the R5GTT, i guess they chip it to change certain things but using this ECU means u can use the injection system i think.

actually, not a bad idea hahaha.

Ive been up for 42 hrs solid now and it shows.....well, i had 1/2 hr kip whilst driving along the M4.......JOKING!

the conversion you are going for has 2 injection points right?

BB dont do a true EFI system yet as far as i know. They are developing one but the 2 injector kits they supply currently are boost controlled and by all accounts simply dump fuel in at a set boost pressure (twin kit) or are staggered (quad kit) though the quad maybe just one injector for each cylinder and not staggered, not 100% on that as i only have the twin kit on mine.

The only dyno results ive seen on an EFI GTT is the fastchip one which boasts decent power and a lot of torque at standard boost.

bbs fuel injection is effective but one of the most primative ways of doing it. But there are more technical guys on RTOC than me so probably best to ask one of them
