Radical SR3
I have a 172 Cup and after the annual Ring trip (only 5 laps done in the Clio, the rest in the Stage 2 Suzuki's) I have the bug...again...like every year to do more track days.
This time round though, I'm actually going to do it as the Clio has become my third car so can come off the road
I used to run a track car a few years back and used the Varley Red Top 8 at 2.1kg to power me and it worked perfectly. After stripping the car and getting ready for the seats/cage etc etc I'm going to stick the battery in the boot to shift weight and also use a lighter battery.
My question is, has anyone used a bike battery from a Hayabusa etc before on the Clio? it weighs the same as the Varley and has the same spec:

It's a fraction of the price though
but I've never used one on a larger engine (old car was 1.4). Any thoughts before I buy one?
If I get no feedback and buy one anyway I'll let you all know how it performs as it's a top tip to save cash when building a track car.
