the 106's are surprizingly quick for a 1.6, well never raced one but have raced a VTS

^^I have a similar photo in my collection somewhere to lol.

The 106 has possibly got cams if it seems quicker than it should be.

No way its got a turbo like someone said above - 106 + turbo = crazy fast!!

Also, if it had throttle bodies it'd beat a clio sport quite easily I would've thought.

IIRC a 106 with cams, filter and exhaust will see 140-145 bhp easily.

my mates 106 gti has got filter,4-2-1 decat full cat back exhaust and a super chip its was dynoed at 141 before he had the chip its a little rocket for what it is told him he should really get cams as there is another 1 round ower way which has cams and my mates keep up with that alrdy so with cams it would be mint
