u wud go 2 halfordz n get sum tape wich u wud put on ur bonnet innit.

It cud jst b tricky linin dem up strait.

hope dat elps.

:)

it is tape though.

Maybe get a vinyl company to make some for you if you didnt want to use the Halfords version.

As said above they will be a pain to line up so that they're parallel, so maybe get a professional to do it? There are companies out there that specialise in things like this.

innit.

What about one of those narrow DIY paint rollers and a tin of Dulux white emulsion?

  Golf GTI PP Mk7
^^that new wipe clean stuff, be sure not to get the matt finish undercoat stuff, very dirty, not good.

  Albi Blue Clio 197
I have been thinking about getting some done on mine, just got some cup alloys, getting a v6 spoiler and some other stuff color coded and my car is a dark blue colour so i recon if i got some stripes done the same as on the cup they would look nice.

I could get the guy who does all my dads vinyl work to do it as well, the only thing i am wondering is the dimensions for them, ie the positioning, the width, gap between them etc, has anyone ever measured theres ever ? would rather stick to the way renault do it as so to speak.

i got the strips off ebay from a guy who works for a graphics company, they are identical to the original ones, just got to get round to putting them on. they cost me about £10 including p&p..

every1s a smart arse!

In all seriousness as you have not got a proper reply, worth trying a search. Someone posted a thread a while ago with the measurements of the width of the stripes themselves and exactly where they went on a 182 bonnet. They are just white vinyl - Renault wanted silly money money for them so it will be lots cheaper to get them cut by a local vinyl sign writing type place.

as for position of strips there is a press picture floating around somewhere but it shows them in a slightly different position as what you see on here ie the press picture shows the strips further over to the centre of the car..

Seriously though, unless you have a Ford GT, avoid the stripes. Unless you are one of those who has a penchant for burberry...?

i disagree with that, as i think the stripes on the racing blue look really nice :)

also a fan of the fiesta ST with stripes!

but stripes on cars that shouldnt be there.............then thats a different matter, like this

people are entitled to their opinions .................but most of them prefer to take the p1ss than help , stripes for sale on ebay as said above , u could get a professional graffics or stickers design place to run you some lines etc .

That's entirely true, it is MY opinion. I just think they look a bit tasteless, but each to their own!

for those who think they look tasteless etc etc, have you actually seen them on a 182 in racing blue.they look superb.....

I have seen them, I would say they look different rather than good, like Kat Slater. They look better without though. The Clio just doesn't suit decals - they are much better suited to American or Asian produced cars - the Nissan 350z Turismo version released last year in white with 80s decals looked awesome, or the Sti Impreza. Having a slightly off centre set of stripes looks gash, and does nothing for the boy racer image Clio Sport is starting to generate, thanks to all the chavved up examples driving about these days. One I saw yesterday had every possible component possible exchanged for its chrome equivalent. Some people have more money than taste!:dead:
