Radio codes

Just got my car back from the bodyshop, and they must have had the battery disconnected because the radio says it needs a code.

Can I get these from a Renault dealer? Will I have to pay anything?

iirc the codes are quite expensive from Renault.

Look in your service/maintanance book!
If you have one will be on the inside cover on a white sticker at the bottom

Is each code specific to each radio? My dad's g/f has the same clio and she has her handbook, would I be able to use the code in that booklet?

Every car has its own code! You can get your code from any dealer but they will need to see your v5 and passport or driving licence! Normally charge £15 or so!

to be quite honest i wouldnt see that as the bodyshops problem !....

cost me £11 from renault took about 30 mins for them to get it though!!
