I attempted the Ibuprofen gel fix earlier which failed due to the gel back being slightly delaminated from the actual sensor.
As a last ditch attempt, I tried removing the gel back, and sandwiching it with ibuprofen on both sides which seems to give reasonable optical clarity - no air bubbles etc. but the sensor still doesn't work very well.
Is it time to bite the bullet and get a new one, or can I use something like clear silicone without the gel pack perhaps?
