I need to upgrade my RAM. How do I find out what type i need?

Open it run the cpu-z program. Go to memory tab will give you the details of what memory is installed in your system. Then buy some of the same.

Does it make much difference if the memory make is different, i have samsung in mine and want another 1024.

I've got micron and infinion so I'd imagine not..
