Range of Central Locking on Your Clio

Ok i have a Renault Clio 51 plate, had new battery fitted, but the central locking has a range of about 1 metre! Is that the same with all of you? It is the RF one, not infrared. Also is my clio Mk2 or Mk3? I dont know how they get categorised? It is a campus style shape thanks

mine used to work from miles away when i put the 2.0 in it went down to about 2 metres

I used to have this in my old 51 plate, not much you can do really, dont think its the key is the reciever i think

Yep re coded or try, sitting in car holding the lock button ( inside on Dash) with the Key for about 10 secs, then trying again or Just hold the key in the air to unlock seems to work but you look a spanner.

My first 1.2 was shite didn't work with a great range at all, the 1.6 that followed and the 172 i've got now work from miles away.

Mine used to work from a good 30 paces, it's more like 10 now.

why would you want to open it from soo far away, anyway?

by the time you get to it, it would have auto locked. lol.

mine opens from about 10-15 metres,mine went crap for a while,resynced (sp) it and got more range back

yeah i had a pley with robs key (flol) and it worked very well. mine is just utter s**t. sometimes end up locking it and unlocking it about 6 times before i get in because i keep pressing it.

Mine only works from close range and has a few blind spots, it aint great but it doesnt really bother me.
