I knew edde would be along lol. All dynamique billabongs had aircon and all the extras iirc. I know mine did anyhow. As edde says the dynamique + means nothing, its just a name for the 1.6's

so how come u can get normal 1.6 16v dynamiques and 1.6 16v dynamique+'s??? there must be something different... they cant just randomly choose some to be + ...

Exactly. If you look up the spec for the 1.6 16V Dynamique against the dynamique +, you will find that the dynamique doesn't have some of the toys that the + has as standard. You may well have been able to add them as extras, but they wouldn't have come as standard. Absolitely no point in having an 02 Dynamique and an 02 dynamique + if they are both identical.

The 1.6 did come in none + spec but they chnaged the name after a bit to try and differentiat it and called the 1.6 as they had other bits on them dynamiques +'s nothing chnaged though realy.

Why not? Different ages 1.6's or the owners didn't realise that it was clled the +model. IT meant that people looked at a 1.6 and it had a plus hence they looked at what differen that the 1.2 dynamic next to it so might make them paty the extra bit.

i dont think its a simple as "they want to differentiat" different models of car... they do that by putting different engines in... and giving different models different toys... but ur talking like there is absoloutly no difference between a + and none+

When I decided to buy a 1.6 after my 1.4 got written off, Hubby and I looked at the differences between the two dynamiques. There were various toys that the dynamique didn't have that the dynamique + did have. For starters, as standard, the dynamique didn't have auto wipers, auto lights, heated mirrors, double tinted windscreen, and various other bits and bobs. We are talking here about two 03 1.6 16V cars. One being a Dynamique, the other being a Dynamique +. There were definitely differences between the two.

^ as above mine was that old and had all the auto bits, sunroof, aircon, heated mirrors etc etc. Mine was the billabong model, but all that gave me was some nasty seats and some silver bits, no physical 'extras' from the dynamique spec

Well I am not about to sit here and do a comparison between the two with a complete list of which had what as standard. Like I said, there will undoubtedly be dynamques that will have the same bits and bobs as my dynamique +, the reason being some of toys were optional extras on the dynamique, and of course you paid extra for them. To spec up an 03 dynamique to be the same as an 03 dynamique +, would have actually cost you more to buy than the dynamique+ with the bits as standard. It took me absolutely ages to track down my dynamique + unless I wanted a second hand one from Wilsons in Epsom that was scratched to bits and the inside looking like a builders van. I eventually found one at Trade Sales in Slough which had been imported from Germany. The only gadget it didn't have that the normal UK ones had was the alarm. I wasn't fussed about that as I had heard the standard Renault alarms could be more trouble than they were worth. It now has one as I thought it was important to protect it as much as I could after doing the mods, and no it isn't a Renault alarm either.

not arguing with you, just think its important to clarify what the differences are if anyone wants to buy one etc. As far as i'm aware the only optional spec on the dynamique was air con, so you had a dynamique + aircon or a dynamique without. Just had a scout around the net, and parkers doesnt even mention a dynamique +, however standard dynamique spec includes auto everything, heated mirrors, etc only optional extras are electric sunroof and aircon?

Well I think when the later models came out, the bits that they didn't originally have were then added as standard.

It's like when I got my V reg (1999) 1.4 8V RT Alize. It had a sunroof, air con and front fogs, which the 1.4 8V RT didn't have as standarad. Renault classed the 1.4 8V RT Alize as a limited edition. I think this was probably due to the fact that they were getting ready to launch the 1.4 16V Alize and just wanted to get rid of the 1.4 RT's that they had left. so they added the extra bits to make them sell quicker and added the Alize bit. It was a way for Renault to get shot of them quick and make an extra bit of dosh along the way.

You will probably find that Renault did the same with the Dymanique. Added a few extra bits to get rid of the ones that weren't selling and called it the dynamique +

there is a top spec non rs clio that has xenons and side coloured bump strips, initiale i think it is called. it also has leather seats. and it has a body coloured non dynamique spoiler, ie jus the small piece of plastic that covers the top of the boot lid.

also, (whoever said the dynamique didnt have heated mirrors) i thought all of the new model clios had heated mirrors? mate has a y reg 1.2 8v and it has heated mirrors so how cna a 1.6 not have??

hey i have a 1.4 16v dynamique + and its quite rare i dont see many others seen a few 1.6's around however my cars colour is rare as anything it's called 'dune'
