Rattle in heater motor - how to take it apart

  LY R26, LY 182
I think something has fallen down one of the air vents into the heater motor, situated in the middle of the dash on the floor behind the climate control panel.
Any ideas of how to open this up without having to dismantle the dash? It looked like there was a panel you could open from the passenger side footwell, but I took the bolt off but it would not come out, and didn't want to force it incase it broke.

I took off most of the panels yesterday and air vents to isolate the noise. It sounds like a screw or something rolling around in a plastic tube when you turn hard or accelerate or brake hard. It is pretty annoying!

If it is impossible to take apart without major open dash surgery, can I drill a hole in the outer casing to fish the offending part out, then glue it back together the seat the unit up again?

I have to do something as this will drive me insane!!!

Well sorted this today. Decided to take the plunge and drill a small hole in the bottom of the heater motor - luckily it was hollow and so I stuck an telescopic magnet in and hey presto out came a torx screwdriver bit!
Wonder which previous owner (RE05 FUF) dropped it in there, and how long ago?!?!?!

Noise solved - HAPPY NOW!
