rattles from my cup

Ive got a rattling noise coming from underneath my cup when I hit 2000rpm and 4100rpm. Does anyone know whats this?

Definately sounds like heatshield/heatshield bolt nonsense

I'd jack it up, support and get under to have a look

on mine 2800 was engine cover till i removed it, 4100 was knackered centre section, doesnt rattle as bad now but still rattles. Just waiting for someone to fit my ktec exhaust...

i had this on my cup reno said on the 1st time i took it in it was the heat shield, tacked that in place and it was fine for a week or so but came back took it back again and they said it was the exhaust and they replaced it for free. had no probs since!

probably.lol. its related to the resonant frequency of the item, if its loose, it will be more noticeable, blah, blah, cant be bothered with science this late, my eyes hurt.lol.

my centre section was broke and sounded like a grinder at just around 4100 revs

Fred your right. I had a look underneath and theres a hole in the centre section. Will the warranty cover this?

Now ive got a similar rattle/squeek at about the same amount of revs...usually about 2000rpm. Can usually only hear it when its stationary tho and im pretty sure i can't hear it at 4000rpm so is this centre section as well or maybe just the heatshield?

ive got a small hole in the centre section. Ive got my car booked in at renault on wednesday. im so glad that its still under warrenty.
