Rattling noise when accelerating hard Gearbox mounts?

Just picked up a 172 cup, It has a rattle around the gearbox area when at high revs, Could this just simply be the heat shield or gearbox mounts?, Any info on this kind of issue would be appreciated.

Does it go away if you rest your hand on the gearstick?

It does slightly yes, It makes a similar noise to when you do a wheel spin.

im having the same problem when im accelerating hard in 3rd and 4th gears!!

any ideads???

maybe problem is in third and fourth speed selector rod? what about if you change gear from 4th to 3rd,still can you hear the noise ?
