Re-mapping

  Countryman JCW
Hey guys,

Just brought myself a phase one clio 172 and absolutley love it!!

The power is awesome, but ive heard rumours about chipping them or re-mapping them to get a few extra horses.

- What kinda improvements can i expect
- How much will it cost
- Wheres best to go? ( im at uni in bournemouth but live in the midlands )
- Would it be best to buy any other bits before having it re-mapped like induction kit, exhaust system etc...

Hope someone can help me

Gains are minimal unless the car has other mods.

Cost £300 ish.

IMO there a few good places but RStunning are very good.

Best getting the car mapped with the other bits on it but you need the maps made to suit the car no point getting an off the shelf map you realy need one made to match the car.

Ok so get an exhaust then an induction kit and then get it looked at?

If your going for a custom made/adjusted one yep otherwsie just go for a group N one and add the exhaust/induction kit etc afterwards as it won't matter since it just a fixed map setup for a car with an exhaust usualy.

personally i would recommend you complete all your mechanical needs before the remap .
but edde has said all you need to know already
